Privacy policy

What I collect and why

WhatWhenWhy (legal basis)How long
Your drawing, the name you type (unless you choose “Stay anonymous”) and your short messageYou press “Send to Fab” on the drawing boardTo show it on the public Art Wall and in my gallery — your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given by pressing “Send to Fab” after the notice that the drawing goes on the public wallUntil you ask me to remove it, or I remove it
Name, e-mail, phone (optional), project details and any files you attachYou send a brief (“Start a brief”)To read your enquiry, reply and prepare an offer — steps before a contract at your request (Art. 6(1)(b))Up to 12 months after our last contact, longer only if we start working together (then as long as the law requires for business records)
E-mails you send meYou write to meTo answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) or my legitimate interest in replying, Art. 6(1)(f))As long as needed for the conversation, max. 3 years
Technical data: IP address (only as a one-way hash), time of requestEvery send, password or sign-in attemptSecurity and spam protection — my legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f))Short-lived counters that expire automatically: 10 minutes for briefs, 30 minutes for password attempts, 1 hour for drawings

The site’s code contains no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and I don’t sell or rent anyone’s data. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect it.

Who else touches the data

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; they do so under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You can ask me to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to processing, and you can withdraw consent at any time (for the Art Wall: just e-mail me and I’ll take the drawing down — this doesn’t affect what was lawful before). Write to hi@byfabc.com. You can also complain to the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa.

Giving data is voluntary. Without a name or e-mail I simply can’t reply to a brief. The Art Wall works anonymously if you want.

Cookies & storage

No advertising, no analytics scripts, no tracking. This site keeps only what it needs to run safely, plus one optional thing — a brief draft — that stays off until you say yes. Animations, the 3D screens, the film and smooth scrolling don’t use cookies or storage, so turning storage off won’t change how the site looks or moves.

Optional — off until you agree

NameProvider · typeWhat it does · whenHow long
fabc-brief-draft-v1 and fabc-briefFABC · local storage and IndexedDBKeeps your “Start a brief” answers and attached files in this browser while you fill in the form, so a reload doesn’t wipe them. A saved draft stays on your device — I don’t receive anything until you press Send.Until the brief is sent, you press “leave”, you turn this off or you clear site data

You can switch it on with “Accept optional”, in the settings, or with “Keep a draft on this device” in the brief form. Closing the notice with × leaves it off. Turning it off deletes the saved draft from this browser.

Other

Drawing wall terms

In short: what you draw and send to the Art Wall becomes public. You give FABC and everyone else the right to use it freely, for anything, forever, without paying you or naming you.

1. What you confirm when you press “Send to Fab”

2. Rights to the drawing

3. Moderation

I may decline, hide or delete any drawing, for any reason and without notice. If you want your drawing taken down, write to hi@byfabc.com — I’ll remove it from the Art Wall, though copies other people already made under CC0 can’t be recalled.

Briefs & confidentiality

In short: your brief is confidential. Only I (Fabian Cieniuch, FABC) read it, and I use it only to talk to you about your project.
